Terms of Use

By accessing or using the SKJMS Community Portal ("the Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of the Portal immediately. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered members, and administrators of the Portal.

Your continued use of the Portal following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

The SKJMS Community Portal is operated by Shri Kantha Jilla Modi Samaj (SKJMS) — a non-profit community organisation based in Pethapur, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

The Portal is provided as a service to community members for informational, cultural, social, and administrative purposes, including:

• Publishing community notices, achievements, and announcements
• Maintaining a digital census of member families
• Showcasing community events through the photo gallery
• Facilitating new member registration and profile management

Membership registration on the Portal is open only to individuals who are members of the Shri Kantha Jilla Modi Samaj community.

• You must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration
• Each household may register only one primary member account, linked to a unique Indian mobile number
• You must be at least 18 years of age to create a primary member account; minor family members may be added by the primary member on their behalf
• SKJMS reserves the right to reject or revoke any membership registration at its sole discretion, including for providing false information

As a registered member, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity conducted through it.

• Protect your OTP — never share your one-time password or active session with any other person
• No impersonation — you must not impersonate another member, community leader, or any SKJMS official
• No unauthorised registration — you must not register an account on behalf of another household without their explicit, informed consent
• Notify SKJMS immediately if you believe your account has been compromised or your registered mobile number has been lost or changed

You may use the Portal to:

• View community information, notices, and announcements
• Manage your family profile and census data
• Browse the photo gallery
• Submit the contact form for genuine enquiries

You must NOT use the Portal to:

• Post, submit, or share false, misleading, offensive, or defamatory content
• Harass, threaten, abuse, intimidate, or harm other community members
• Attempt to access, alter, or delete accounts, data, or admin areas you are not authorised to access
• Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any tools to extract data from the Portal without prior written consent from SKJMS
• Upload or share illegal, obscene, hateful, or otherwise harmful content
• Conduct any activity that violates applicable Indian laws, regulations, or community standards

Violation of these acceptable use standards may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without prior notice.

All content on the Portal — including text, images, logos, notices, and gallery photos — is the property of SKJMS or its respective contributors.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, commercialise, or modify any content from this Portal without prior written permission from SKJMS
• Community gallery images are shared for community viewing purposes only; commercial use of any image is strictly prohibited
• The SKJMS name, logo, and associated marks may not be used without explicit written authorisation from the organisation

Information and content you submit to the Portal — including registration details, family data, contact form messages, and any other submissions — is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By submitting content, you grant SKJMS a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to store, display, and use it within the Portal for its intended community purpose.

SKJMS reserves the right to edit, remove, or reject any submitted content that violates these Terms or community standards, without prior notice and without liability.

SKJMS administrators have the right and responsibility to moderate the Portal to ensure it remains a safe, respectful, and accurate community space.

• Admins may approve, reject, edit, or remove any member account, notice, gallery image, or submitted content at any time, with or without prior notice
• Decisions on membership approvals and rejections are made at the discretion of SKJMS administration and are final unless appealed in writing to the SKJMS governing committee
• Accounts found to be in violation of these Terms may be suspended or permanently terminated without refund of any fees or services

The Portal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• SKJMS does not warrant that the Portal will be uninterrupted or error-free
• SKJMS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information published on the Portal
• SKJMS is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on Portal content

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, SKJMS and its office-bearers, committee members, administrators, and volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the Portal
• Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in Portal content
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your account or data
• Failures or outages of third-party services (Cloudinary, SMS providers, database hosting) used by the Portal

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising from or relating to use of this Portal, or these Terms, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

SKJMS encourages members to resolve any concerns directly with the organisation before initiating legal proceedings.

SKJMS reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When changes are made:

• The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised
• Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on the Portal's Notice Board
• Continued use of the Portal after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms

If you disagree with any revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the Portal and contact us to request account deletion.
